Hotel Hell (Show Reviews #5)

Intro:
Hotel Hell is a reality TV show where the popular chef and celebrity Gordon Ramsay goes to various hotels throughout America and helps them regain their lost popularity. These hotels are usually on the brink of bankruptcy and need help.
Run Time: 45 min
Genre: Reality TV
Rating: TV-14
Season #: 3
Episode Number: 22
Creator: Gordon Ramsay

Quality:
Plot +: The plot consists of Ramsay going around to different locations helping people in need. It’s not very creative, considering that he has another show, Kitchen Nightmares, which has basically the same plot. However, there are elements to hotels that cannot be replicated in restaurants.
Story +: I thought some of the stories of these crippling hotels and their owners was quite unique.
Dialogue +: The dialogue on Gordon is phenomenal but some of the things some of the other actors would say would be bad.
Music +: I thought the music, while not being too memorable, was fine.
Suspense -: The show is, in a way, surrounded by suspense, but it is just not executed well. You know after watching 2 episodes or something that the hotels will always end up fine.
Acting +: I thought the acting was fine for the most part.
Humor +: There were definitely instances of humor. For example, there was one instance where a tiny tea set, complete with tiny chairs were in a hallway and Gordon Ramsay started sitting in it, talking seriously with the owner.
Errors +: I do recall some instances of minor errors, but they were fine throughout. The minor errors didn’t detract from the experience of the show.
Sound Quality +: The sound quality was fine and whenever it wasn’t fine, captions would appear.
Plot Consistency +: The plot does stay consistent throughout.
Re-watch ability -: I think the show is nice every now and then. Otherwise, it gets tiring pretty quickly.
Creativity -: Gordon basically copied his original idea for Kitchen Nightmares and put it in the format of a hotel theme.
Setting +: The settings were well shown and you really got to see the disgusting nature of the hotels in which Gordon tried to fix.

Quality Score: 8.5/10

Entertainment Score: 7.5/10

Conclusion:
Gordon Ramsay has another show that is similar to Hotel Hell. Kitchen Nightmares gives more episodes for, essentially, the same plot. However, the plots do get a little tiresome pretty quickly. Perhaps watch Hotel Hell and if you are craving for more, watch Kitchen Nightmares.
